Essential
Responsibilities:
Responsible for supervising all functions in the new technology area of production including:
fluid bed dryers, high shear mixing, F80 encapsulation, Fette Presses, bin blending and Tablet Coating.
Responsible for the supervision of 2nd shift operators who will be running a wide variety of pharmaceutical manufacturing equipment.
Responsible for scheduling training and safety,
Responsible for daily operator assignments and general execution of schedules.
Responsible for all compliance-aspects of the operation including writing investigation and deviation reports.
This individual will be very responsible for the interaction and support with Pharm. Tech. For the development of new products specifically in the fluid bed and high shear mixer areas.
Balancing of the cost, customer service and quality components within the prefinishing area.
You will be the manufacturing representative for this area for all key development projects interacting as necessary with Pharm. Tech, Validations, Engineering, Construction, Compliance, Maintenance and other key SPMI groups.
Essential
Qualifications:
Minimum of five (5) years of supervisory experience with at least three (3) of those years in a pharmaceutical manufacturing setting.
Strong technical hands-on skills with granulation equipment especially in the area of fluid-bed drying but also including blending, wet-granulation in mixers, liquid manufacturing experience, and traditional angular coating for bead manufacture. Fluid-Bed experience is considered a must, whereas all other experience will be evaluated on an individual basis.
Strong technical/writing skills
Strong knowledge of GMP requirements in a manufacturing environment.
Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to interact well with both individual operators and also other members of management.
Ability to problem-solve and write investigation reports.
Strong project and organizational skill.
Chemistry or engineering degree would be a plus.
Education:
Bachelor''s Degree preferred but may be not be required in lieu of experience.
